Koustuvians , in a solemn ceremony, paid homage to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and the esteemed freedom fighter and former Prime Minister of India, Lal Bahadur Shastri, on the occasion of their birth anniversaries. The event was graced by the presence of Ms. Priti Nanda Routray, the Councillor of Chandrasekharpur, Ward No 6, who joined as the Chief Guest. The program began with Ms. Priti Nanda Routray garlanding the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. Subsequently, she actively participated in a cleanliness drive within the campus premises, as a tribute to these great leaders. As a further contribution to environmental well-being, she planted a tree on the campus. During her address to the gathering, Ms. Priti Nanda Routray encouraged everyone present to lead a life guided by the values exemplified by Mahatma Gandhi. She stressed the significance of truth and non-violence as potent tools in resolving both national and international issues. Shri Koustuv Mallick, the Executive Director of Koustuv Group, inspired the students to integrate the noble ideas and principles of our freedom fighters into their daily lives, thereby carrying forward their legacy of dedication to the nation. The event witnessed active participation from students across all constituent institutions of KGI, students of iconic Adarsha Vidyalaya, along with faculty members and staff. They paid their respects by offering floral tributes to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. Following this, they actively participated in the cleanliness drive and joined in a mass plantation program, symbolizing their commitment to the ideals of the great leaders. The ceremony served as a reminder of the enduring legacy of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, inspiring the youth to carry their principles forward and contribute positively to the nation.
